Cassava Flour Tortillas Recipe

Servings: About 12 Tortillas
Ingredients
- 2 cups cassava flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup oil (avocado or olive oil)
- 3/4-1 cup warm water
Steps
- In a large bowel mix cassava flour and salt
- Add oil and mix well until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Slowly add water to the dough until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough on a clean surface until it is smooth and elastic.
- Roll the dough into golf ball-sized portions and let it rest for 10 mins.
- Preheat a skillet
- Press the dough ball flat with your hands.
- Roll it thin with a rolling pin.
- Transfer the tortilla to a preheated skillet and cook for 1-2 mins each side. (You will know it is cooked when it turns slightly brown)
- Use the tortillas for tacos, burritos, wraps and more
Storage tip: -. Stack the tortillas on a plate and cover it with a kitchen towel to keep them warm and soft.
