Cassava Flour Tortillas Recipe

Cooking Time: 20 minutes 

Servings: About 12 Tortillas 

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups cassava flour 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/4 cup oil (avocado or olive oil
  • 3/4-1 cup warm water 

Steps 

  1. In a large bowel mix cassava flour and salt
  2. Add oil and mix well until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Slowly add water to the dough until the dough comes together. 
  4. Knead the dough on a clean surface until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Roll the dough into golf ball-sized portions and let it rest for 10 mins. 
  6. Preheat a skillet 
  7. Press the dough ball flat with your hands. 
  8. Roll it thin with a rolling pin. 
  9. Transfer the tortilla to a preheated skillet and cook for 1-2 mins each side. (You will know it is cooked when it turns slightly brown) 
  1. Use the tortillas for tacos, burritos, wraps and more 

Storage tip: -. Stack the tortillas on a plate and cover it with a kitchen towel to keep them warm and soft.
