Homemade Hummus recipe

Servings: 1.5 cups
Preparation time -10 minutes
Total time - 10-12 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 can (250 grams) of chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 small garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- Paprika to garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Add the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, minced garlic, olive oil, and pinch of salt to a food processor.2. Blend all these ingredients into a smooth paste for a minute or two.
3. If the paste is too thick then add 1-2 tsp of water and adjust it to your
desired consistency.
4. Taste the hummus and adjust the salt as per your taste.
5. Transfer hummus to a bowl and drizzle some extra olive oil on top.
6. Add a sprinkle of paprika to garnish.
7. Serve your homemade hummus with pita bread or your Mediterranean
platter or fresh veggies. I like to spread mine on wraps.
Storage tip: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can be stored
easily for 3-5 days.
